On November 23th the opening of the exhibition “LETTERS”
took place at The Dom Interior Center. Exhibition showcased a collection of paintings, mosaics and sculptures by contemporary Russian artists.
The exhibition “LETTERS” consists of four independent stories told by young artists. It is the artists who sense changes in the social environment before others. The style and language of the period are visible in their works. The general leitmotif of the exhibition was the idea of letter as evidence of time.

In the chapter “EMOTIONAL LETTERS” the works of four artists appealed to classic letters: romantic, sensual, emotional diary entries. Moments of loneliness and melancholy were captured in the paintings of Zhenya Datsko. Her works radiated a mysterious and mesmerizing beauty.
The attention of the guests was attracted by white exposition - these are the works of artists SISTERS IN ART. In the part of the exhibition entitled “LETTERS TO THE INNER CHILD”, the artists talk with the viewer about the psychological aspect of art and the search for one’s self. Artists Victoria and Olga work in mixed media, combining painting and object art.
The section “LETTERS TO THE EAST” presented a series of works of ceramics and graphics by Anya Karmalita, which in its stylistic and color scheme is based on oriental motifs, but is not a direct quotation of China, Japan, Korea or a repetition of traditional ornaments.

“HISTORICAL LETTERS” told the viewer about the things and techniques that people pass on from generation to generation and the energy that creates history. Here a special place was occupied by the “MATRA” collection by Evgenia Goltseva and a large-scale handmade mosaic by Anastasia Kolyshkina, a picture created from pieces of smalt about happiness and the feeling of a sunny summer day.
